Paystack is seeking a Web Experience Engineer to develop exceptional web experiences, making it the preferred payments platform for African businesses. The engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-performance, responsive, and accessible web interfaces that effectively communicate Paystack's brand and value proposition. This role involves collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to implement cohesive web experiences. The ideal candidate will be located in Nigeria.Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing responsive web experiences using modern frontend technologies.
• Translating design mockups into pixel-perfect web interfaces.
• Optimizing website performance, focusing on core web vitals.
• Implementing and maintaining the design system.
• Collaborating with marketing to build landing pages.
• Building and maintaining internal tooling for team efficiency.
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and implementing progressive enhancement.
• Implementing SEO best practices and optimizing web presence.
• Setting up and monitoring web analytics.
• Championing web accessibility standards.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience building responsive web interfaces.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React and Vue.
• Keen eye for design details.
• Passion for web performance optimization.
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with Git and frontend build tools.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
