Engineering Program Manager (China)

Job Description

Quilt is seeking a mission-driven Engineering Program Manager to collaborate closely with their contract manufacturer in Zhuhai, China, to deliver their innovative heat pump product. This role acts as a crucial bridge between the US-based team and the manufacturing partner's R&D team. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving project plans, identifying risks, and aligning teams to execute mitigation strategies.Responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day activities at the partner's location to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Providing multidisciplinary program management for Quilt's core heat pump product in Asia.
• Ensuring alignment of onsite engineering activities with project goals.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and deliverables.
• Proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Driving regular project meetings and site visits.
• Collaborating with the in-house manufacturing and supply chain team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering program management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong project management skills.
• Solid technical background in developing integrated hardware products.
• Experience driving JDM projects and managing external vendors.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes in a contract manufacturing environment in China.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Ability to work on-site at the JDM location in Zhuhai.
