Staff SRE & DeFi scalability lead

Job Description

ABC Labs is seeking an experienced SRE & DeFi scalability lead to join their protocol engineering team. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and scalability of the frontend UI, backend APIs, and developer operations. The ideal candidate will have full-stack experience, SRE specialization, and a passion for scaling.Responsibilities include:

• Provisioning, setting up, and securing Linux servers
• Managing blockchain nodes for maximum uptime
• Managing DNS, workers, pages, and more in Cloudflare
• Deploying and configuring metrics tooling like Prometheus & Grafana
• Load testing and optimizing APIs
• Managing fleets of Docker containers
• Collaborating with the API team to design and implement highly scalable services
• Helping architect solutions and set team priorities to achieve scaling goals

Requirements include:

• Familiarity with running blockchain nodes and backend services
• Production-level experience at a DeFi startup or deep immersion as an end user
• A security-first mindset
• Strong command of the English language
• Availability during typical US workday hours
