Job Description
Berlin Brands Group is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise to daily general ledger accounting and strategic projects such as IFRS conversion and SAP S/4HANA development. The role involves responsibility, change, and teamwork.
Role Involves:
- Creating, analyzing, and reconciling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS, including intercompany transactions and account reconciliations.
- Supporting the development, implementation, and compliance of group-wide accounting guidelines, as well as preparing consolidated financial statements according to HGB and IFRS.
- Creating evaluations and reports for investors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Serving as a contact person for internal departments, auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners in all accounting and consolidation matters.
- Supporting the continuous optimization and automation of internal control and accounting processes with SAP S/4Hana.
- Independently contributing to and managing projects in Group Accounting.
Requirements:
- Completed degree or comparable commercial training, ideally with further education as a certified accountant.
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a group structure or e-commerce environment.
- Solid knowledge in the preparation of financial statements according to HGB and IFRS, as well as understanding of consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
- Confident handling of ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4Hana, as well as consolidation tools such as LucaNet (desirable).
- Fluent German skills and good English skills.
