Data Scientist

Job Description

Strider Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Engineering team. The Data Scientist will be responsible for researching and developing new data solutions, scaling existing data applications, and shaping Strider’s data strategies. This role involves working with messy, unstructured data to answer critical business questions, resolve client inquiries, and identify new problems.

The Data Scientist will collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver value to Strider’s clients and establish a data-driven culture within the team.

What this role involves:

• Digging into messy, unstructured data to answer critical business questions.
• Transforming analytics to insights, applying critical business thinking and creative data solutions.
• Developing technical and analytical skills to introduce new data and product capabilities.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver value to Strider’s clients.
• Establishing and upholding a data-driven culture.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data science and/or analytics.
• An MS or BS in a quantitative field (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Engineering).
• Functional knowledge of Python, SQL, R, or other comparable languages.
• Experience with Elasticsearch is preferred.
• Ability to work alongside a team of engineers and subject matter experts.
• Ability to independently manage deliverables and prioritize work.
• A rigorous approach towards data quality.
