QA Engineer

Job Description

A QA Engineer is needed for a company's digital banking platform in Amsterdam. The QA Engineer will contribute to the development of the platform with a focus on quality deliverables. They will develop, enhance, and execute test plans and cases based on an existing testing strategy and process. The QA Engineer will also contribute to the test automation framework by adding test cases based on test designs. They will communicate to stakeholders and clients, if applicable, using test evidence and reports. The QA Engineer will stand up for the balance between functional and non-functional requirements and promote quality in their team by owning the testing process.

Role involves:

• Developing, enhancing, and executing test plans and cases
• Contributing to the test automation framework
• Communicating with stakeholders and clients
• Promoting quality within the team
• Participating in Agile ceremonies
• Exchanging knowledge and information in QA Chapter meetings

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer
• Hands-on skills in test automation (Java or JavaScript/TypeScript), API testing, and frontend testing
• Experience and understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with at least one UI automation testing framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Experience testing API endpoints, preferably using REST Assured
• Readiness to perform both manual and automation testing
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of how to build testing processes inside the team
