Job Description
Aetion, a science-driven technology company focused on real-world evidence for healthcare decision-making, is seeking a Senior Director of Research+Analytics. This role involves managing a team of R programmers, serving as a statistical/epidemiologic expert, championing methodologic research, and contributing to software product development. The position reports to the Head of Research+Analytics, Chief Science Office. Aetion has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Datavant.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and matrixed management of a team of R programmers
- Serve as an internal, client-facing expert in statistical and/or epidemiologic methods
- Conduct R programming, including data management and interpretation of results
- Support methodological projects and staff training
- Contribute to the development of analytic product features
- Maintain knowledge base in statistical and/or epidemiologic methods
- Mentor early-career programmers and biostatisticians/epidemiologists
Requirements:
- PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Extensive expertise in the design and conduct of observational studies using real-world data
- Proficiency in R programming language
- Proficiency in Github use
- Experience in people management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
