Job Description
AirTrunk is seeking an Associate Director, Commercial - Development to be based in their HQ in Sydney. This role involves partnering with senior management to establish strategic commercial plans, providing leadership and guidance to delivery teams, resolving complex commercial issues, and negotiating contracts. The Associate Director will also build and develop a high-performing team of commercial professionals.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining performance metrics.
- Cascading improved commercial strategies and business policies.
- Providing risk and governance oversight.
- Developing complex business cases.
- Leading commercial teams and resolving contract interpretation issues.
- Driving project cost outcomes and leading continuous improvements.
- Reviewing tender packages.
- Overseeing multiple projects.
- Traveling to data center sites.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of work experience in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial and contract management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills.
- Demonstrated success in directing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
