Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Job Description

League is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join their UI Services Team. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building web services and APIs, primarily using Go and MongoDB. They will design, develop, and maintain Masonry, League’s server-driven UI platform. The candidate will work within a cross-functional team to deliver features, maintain, and improve the product.

Responsibilities:

• Build, test, and maintain backend services and data storage.
• Debug production issues with services and data.
• Participate in technical design and planning discussions.
• Uphold standards for quality through code reviews, bug fixes, automated tests, and performance monitoring.
• Adhere to system operation policies.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Experience with server-side programming languages.
• Knowledge of modern web services architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites.
• Ability to write correct and clean code.
• Understanding of how work fits into team and company objectives.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
