Senior Web Application Developer - Medical Imaging

Job Description

Heartflow is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to join their engineering team in San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications for the review and manipulation of 3D medical images. This role involves collaborating with UX/UI designers, integrating backend services, writing clean code, and participating in code reviews.

• Design, develop, document, validate, and maintain robust and scalable web applications for the review and manipulation of 3D medical images.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
• Integrate backend services and APIs to support web application functionality.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Drive the release and monitoring of web application components.
• Participate with the rest of the team in supporting production.
• Participate in cross-functional conversations with Product team, Process Engineering team, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in web application development.
• Strong proficiency in Typescript or JavaScript.
• Experience with modern web frameworks (Vue.js preferred).
• Excellent understanding of software development best practices: testing, CI/CD, agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
