Job Description

Santa Monica Studio, the award-winning team behind God of War, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Producer to join their Systems Design team. This contract role involves partnering with producers, creative leads, and directors to support the production pipeline throughout all phases of product development. The Producer will own the creation, maintenance, and execution of a project plan to determine resource, budget, and schedule needs.

The Producer will facilitate development efforts, maintain project schedules, and ensure effective communication between team members. They will proactively seek resolution to problems, prioritize work, and provide data-driven impact analysis. The Producer will also support product development needs by maintaining relationships within the development team and participating in performance reviews.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating development efforts to keep product development on schedule and within budget
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, triaging day-to-day production issues
  • Ensuring regular and effective communication between internal and external team members
  • Breaking down and prioritizing work for teams, identifying problems and proposing solutions
  • Maintaining and improving relationships amongst development team

Requirements include:

  • 5-7 years of production experience in a AAA game development environment
  • Familiarity with traditional waterfall production management techniques and Agile techniques
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft, Microsoft Office (Project and Excel)
  • Proven experience producing high-performing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
