Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Tech Lead Manager for their Fraud & Risk Engineering team. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of algorithms and infrastructure to prevent financial abuse on Whatnot's platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial drive and a deep understanding of abuse vectors.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and scaling the Fraud Engineering team.
- Writing code and serving as a tech lead.
- Leading multiple initiatives across product areas.
- Communicating findings with leadership and product teams.
- Prioritizing work and driving results.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience building for consumer-scale loads.
- 1+ years of experience writing production code in Python.
- 1+ years of experience developing fraud detection & prevention systems (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
