Job Description

OKX is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their Legal team in Dubai, UAE. This role will report to the Head of AMETUK and Institutional and Strategic Partnerships and will primarily support OKX's Middle East Entity and GCC market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cryptocurrency/digital assets and experience in financial services or securities laws.

Role Involves:

  • Supporting the business in various legal areas, including product development, HR, corporate governance, contract negotiation, and regulatory matters.
  • Analyzing the legal risk of new and existing digital assets.
  • Managing civil or regulatory litigation matters.
  • Collaborating with the compliance team on licensing, regulatory communication, and policy drafting.
  • Working with product and business development teams on company-wide projects.
  • Assisting with corporate governance matters.
  • Managing legal requests from all areas of the business.

Requirements:

  • Law degree and eligibility to practice as an advocate.
  • Resident of Dubai, UAE.
  • 3-10 years of experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Experience advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology legal issues.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to effectively advise and build trust with business teams.
  • Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills.
