Data Scientist (Junior level)

Job Description

Sertis is seeking a passionate Junior Data Scientist to join their team in Bangkok. Sertis is at the forefront of technological innovation, using AI and data solutions to drive business value. The Data Scientist will enhance the team's capabilities in designing and implementing LLM-based solutions.

The Data Scientist will collaborate with a diverse team to design and implement AI models that address complex business challenges. This role involves active participation in solution design, model implementation and testing as well as making sure to keep up to date with the latest cutting edge GenAI technologies.

Role involves:

• Contributing to projects including time series forecasting, optimization planning, recommending engines, and financial fraud detection.
• Engaging in rigorous testing and validation of AI models.
• Potentially participating in research initiatives and contributing to scientific papers.
• Utilizing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for solution development and deployment.
• Ensuring continuous improvement of models.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Python and familiarity with libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, and TensorFlow.
• Proven experience in dealing with structured data such as time series, transactions data or user interactions data
• Experience with Ubuntu and other Linux distributions.
• Strong understanding of AI and data science, both theory and practice
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong background in developing solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is a plus
• Previous experience using Big Data tools such as Spark or Hadoop is a big plus
