Application Engineer

Job Description

Rondo Energy is seeking a customer-centric Application Engineer to contribute to their mission of eliminating 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years. The company aims to achieve this by deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries, accelerating renewable energy adoption, and decarbonizing industrial processes.In this role, the Application Engineer will collaborate with the Rondo Mechanical Engineering team, external partners, and prospective customers to define complete system solutions that deliver zero-carbon, reliable heat for customer projects. He will conduct thermo-economic analyses to identify configurations that maximize the value created by Rondo’s technology and develop the technical information critical to developing a robust pipeline of project opportunities.What Role Involves:

• Leading technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Conducting site evaluations and feasibility studies.
• Developing creative solutions for customized system configurations.
• Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Energy Markets teams.
• Providing technical expertise during customer presentations.
• Staying informed on industry trends and regulations.

Requirements:

• Passion for sustainable energy transition.
• Education in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• +5 years of work experience in a related role.
• Basic proficiency in coding (Python, Visual Basic).
• Ability to operate autonomously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Innovative and results-oriented thinking.
• Outstanding presentation skills.
• Ability to build trust with customers.
• Ability to travel occasionally within Europe.
