Job Description
Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Consulting Associate/Investigations to join their Risk, Investigations & Analytics (RIA) practice. This role involves conducting in-depth background research on individuals and entities using U.S. and international open source materials, compiling findings into written reports for clients such as law firms, financial institutions, and corporations. The position may also include due diligence investigations, fraud and corruption matters, asset tracing, monitorships, and litigation support.

Role involves:
  • Preparing client deliverables (reports, briefings, etc.)
  • Researching public records and social media
  • Coordinating with case teams on project deliverables
  • Delivering written and verbal briefings on research findings
  • Identifying and developing resources for investigative research
  • Mentoring junior analysts
  • Participating in practice, office, and corporate initiatives

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (Master's desirable)
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience using investigative databases (e.g., WestLaw, LexisNexis)
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience identifying adverse issues and evaluating sources
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a strong work ethic
