Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana Search and Storage (Remote, Canada)

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Grafana Search & Storage squad. This team is responsible for building Grafana’s next-generation storage layer, Unified Storage, as part of the App Platform movement. The role involves developing features for Search and Folders, which are crucial for finding and organizing information within Grafana.

The Staff Backend Engineer will actively influence the team's roadmap, deliver new features, and iterate based on customer feedback. They will design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability. The role also includes mentoring team members, participating in design discussions, and contributing to open-source projects.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with the Go programming language
• Knowledge of and experience with large distributed systems
• Experience delivering projects from requirements to shipping
• Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software
