Job Description
GoCardless is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team in London. This role will be the primary technical lead during engagements with prospective and existing merchants, helping to qualify, shape, close, and support business opportunities. The Solutions Engineer will provide technical guidance and oversight, working alongside the sales teams.
The role involves:
- Working with the sales team on new and existing opportunities.
- Presenting and crafting demos showcasing the product.
- Performing technical discovery and architecting solution designs for prospects.
- Working closely with the product team on product improvements, new initiatives, and feature requests.
- Working alongside implementation managers and customer success teams to ensure a smooth journey for clients.
Requirements:
- Experience as a pre-sales or post-sales solution engineer.
- Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with API tools such as Postman and debugging/logging tools.
- A deep understanding of how APIs function.
- Programming skills in at least one common programming language.
- Experience in building integrations with Payment-Service Providers.
- A compelling storyteller.
