Job Description
The Lead Maintenance Technician at iHerb is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and equipment. This role involves providing guidance to other technicians, monitoring facility cleanliness, and supporting sanitation objectives. The Lead Maintenance Technician also educates team members on cleaning practices and solution mixing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direction and mechanical support to production line and bindery mechanics.
- Maintaining a parts inventory for machines.
- Developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
- Ensuring cleaning compliance with GMPs and FDA guidelines.
- Supporting the pest control program.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A minimum of five (5) years of maintenance technician experience.
- Knowledge of GMP and food sanitation.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot forklift equipment and knowledge of Perfect Pick and HMI systems.
- High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
