Job Description
Isar Aerospace is seeking a Lead AIT Technician to join their team on the arctic island of Andøya, Norway. The Lead AIT Technician will be responsible for leading a small team of AIT technicians to support onsite assembly, integration, test, and launch activities. He will work with dynamic multinational AIT and design teams based in Germany, and local Operations crew to ensure flawless and timely delivery of flight hardware, and smooth conduction of test and launch campaigns.Role involves:
  • Assembling and leading a team of AIT technicians
  • Taking ownership of the AIT infrastructure and developing it
  • Precise assembly of advanced space components
  • Machining carbon fiber composites
  • Component and assembly testing
  • Test and launch support
  • Maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Detailed documentation of work processes
  • Ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement
Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in aviation and/or aerospace
  • First leadership experience and excellent teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of gas/fluid bolting techniques
  • Good drawing skills, spatial awareness, and technical understanding
  • Willingness for occasional assembly work at different locations
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
  • Foundational knowledge of computer and software applications
  • Well-organized mode of working
  • Fluent in English (Norwegian and/or German are helpful)
