Quality Assurance Technician (Weekend nights 12 hour shifts)

Job Description

The company is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team in Hazelwood, Missouri. This role is crucial for monitoring quality assurance and food safety activities, as well as implementing improvements to departmental functions. The technician will be responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of production, compiling and evaluating statistical data to ensure product quality and reliability.What this role involves:

• Providing support to the Quality Assurance Management team.
• Achieving quality assurance operational objectives.
• Performing tests at specified stages in the production process.
• Testing products for qualities like temperature, defects, and code dates.
• Evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from standards.
• Recommending modifications to quality or production standards.
• Completing special projects.
• Conducting quality analysis of incoming dry goods.
• Verifying specifications before startup and throughout production.
• Problem-solving on quality issues with production and other teams.
• Documenting key metrics for data analysis.
• Maintaining calibration and logs of laboratory instruments.
• Performing general analysis and sampling of production samples.
• Collecting retention samples.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of quality assurance standards and protocols.
• Food Safety & documentation experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role with relevant testing types.
• Familiarity with the 4 points of QA.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Food/Beverage manufacturing experience is a bonus.
