Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Ads Measurement

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its Ads Measurement team. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and intelligence of Reddit’s advertising platform through privacy-enhancing technologies and probabilistic user matching. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Ads initiatives, drive architectural decisions, mentor peers, and tackle complex technical challenges.Reddit is a community-driven platform with over 100,000 active communities and 101M+ daily active unique visitors, making it one of the internet’s largest sources of information.Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical strategy and architecture for the company’s identity resolution system.
• Develop and refine ML models for probabilistic user matching.
• Oversee end-to-end ML workflows, optimizing for performance and cost.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and set long-term goals.
• Establish engineering best practices and data governance guidelines.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in ML-driven systems.
• Experience architecting identity resolution or identity matching solutions.
• Strong knowledge of identifiers (cookies, hashed emails, IP addresses, user agents).
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Understanding of large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
• Technical leadership in cross-functional settings.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
