Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its Ads Measurement team. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and intelligence of Reddit’s advertising platform through privacy-enhancing technologies and probabilistic user matching. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Ads initiatives, drive architectural decisions, mentor peers, and tackle complex technical challenges.Reddit is a community-driven platform with over 100,000 active communities and 101M+ daily active unique visitors, making it one of the internet’s largest sources of information.
Responsibilities: - Lead the technical strategy and architecture for the company’s identity resolution system.
- Develop and refine ML models for probabilistic user matching.
- Oversee end-to-end ML workflows, optimizing for performance and cost.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and set long-term goals.
- Establish engineering best practices and data governance guidelines.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements: - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in ML-driven systems.
- Experience architecting identity resolution or identity matching solutions.
- Strong knowledge of identifiers (cookies, hashed emails, IP addresses, user agents).
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Understanding of large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
- Technical leadership in cross-functional settings.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
