Senior Product Designer, Safety

Job Description

Discord is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its Safety team. In this role, the candidate will be involved in the full product development process, from brainstorming to launch, focusing on user privacy, safety, and trust. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to define Safety features, create flows, mockups, and prototypes, and ensure pixel-perfect implementation.

• Designing solutions that cover user needs, business goals, and backend processes.
• Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams.
• Creating flows, mockups, and prototypes.
• Presenting designs to the team and organization.
• Testing, learning, and iterating on designs.
• Contributing to the Design System library.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience designing consumer-focused products.
• High-quality visual design skills.
• Portfolio of work as a primary designer on high-impact projects for desktop and mobile.
• Experience working with a design system.
• Ability to proactively form and present ideas.
• Experience guiding product vision through design explorations and documentation.
