Job Description
Aerospike is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of its internal developer platform and open source product delivery. This role is crucial for building and shipping software across proprietary and open source channels, impacting the consistency, efficiency, and reliability of the customer experience.
The Principal Product Manager will collaborate with engineering teams, QE, Performance Engineering, DevOps, and Security to deliver a coherent platform strategy that supports scale, enforces quality, and simplifies delivery. This role combines product ownership with program leadership, focusing on systems that power developer productivity and product delivery at Aerospike.
What This Role Involves:
- Defining and owning the roadmap for the internal developer platform.
- Operationalizing Aerospike’s open source strategy.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and define platform improvements.
- Driving the product lifecycle for platform systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve platform reliability and developer effectiveness.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on developer platforms, DevOps, or software delivery infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, technical programs with significant cross-functional complexity.
- Significant experience (3+ years) directly contributing to or leading the product strategy for open source projects, including defining roadmaps, engaging with the ecommunity, and managing contributions.
- Experience with delivery pipelines that support both proprietary and open source software components.
- Familiarity with GitHub, artifact management systems (e.g., JFrog), CI/CD infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Strong technical fluency and excellent communication and prioritization skills.
