VP of Engineering (Payments/FinTech)

Job Description

Xweave is seeking a VP of Engineering to spearhead its technical strategy, scale systems, and expand the team as the company grows across emerging payment corridors. Xweave operates a cross-border payments orchestration platform bridging regulated fiat rails with non-custodial stablecoin infrastructure.This role involves:

• Owning and evolving the technical architecture.
• Defining the technical roadmap.
• Acting as the technical point of contact during due diligence.
• Managing technical priorities and integration sequencing for partner APIs.
• Leading hiring, onboarding, and career development for engineers.
• Overseeing sprint planning, velocity tracking, and release processes.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 2-3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience designing distributed systems, preferably in fintech, payments, or blockchain.
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams in a high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Temporal, PostgreSQL, Docker, and blockchain/web3 APIs.
