Roll-to-Roll Lead Engineer

Job Description

Divea is seeking a Roll-to-Roll Lead Engineer to contribute to the development of graphene membrane production. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and testing a prototype production line for continuous graphene membrane production, focusing on scaling up production and moving away from batch processes. This role requires a hands-on approach with rapid prototyping iterations and a first-principle approach.Responsibilities:

• Creating mechanical design concepts for machine designs.
• Supporting fabrication and assembly processes.
• Participating in mechanical debug activities.
• Working with component suppliers to specify and acquire quotes.
• Designing systems for gas injections, heating, and cooling.
• Simulating gas flow through a reactor.
• Designing systems for winding, unwinding, and tensioning graphene rolls.

Requirements:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with the design, building, and testing of roll-to-roll production lines.
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends to support critical milestones.
