Restaurant Manager

Job Description

The Student Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Manager for its Groningen location. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for setting the standard for the restaurant and leading the team to provide a memorable guest experience. The Restaurant Manager will be a people person, a natural leader who takes pride in recruiting, training, and developing a top-tier staff.What this role involves:

• Managing the Restaurant Team
• Ensuring resources are available to staff
• Managing the new F&B experience
• Taking part in the service
• Monitoring HACCP guidelines, fire safety policy and working conditions
• Collaborating with the management team
• Bringing forward innovations and improvements
• Monitoring costs suppliers
• Responsible for recruitment and proper onboarding of temporary and permanent staff
• Scheduling of staff according to business and staff needs
• Responsible for proper Performance Management of all restaurant staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in a managerial role at a similar level restaurant
• Strong knowledge of drinks and food according to market standards
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant service standards
• Fluent in English
• Legally allowed to work in The Netherlands
