Associate Systems Engineer (Windows, Logic Monitor) - Req 2283

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to maintain strong liaisons with internal IT and Development Organizations. The candidate will work on operational activities such as Incidents & Requests and eventually grow more into Project/ Development areas and more complex work in the Logic Monitor area. He/she should be proficient with utilizing their skills with ITIL and Windows Event Logs.

Responsibilities include:
• Delivering day-to-day configuration management services
• Working with Event Management, Incident Management, MI’s, System Outages
• Configuration Management and PowerShell Scripting
• Integration with ServiceNow, Chef and network automation tools
• Troubleshooting system issues and maintaining system uptime

Requirements:
• ITIL foundation knowledge/ experience
• PowerShell Scripting with some development background
• Strong understanding of Windows Event Logs
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Good understanding of Windows servers and databases
• 2-3 years of administrating enterprise Windows and Virtual Environment
• Knowledge of SQL server 2014, 2016, Always On
• Experience with IIS, Clustering & File & different services
