Job Description
Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Associate Systems Support Engineer to join their team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance and availability of Altera's health IT solutions. The Associate Systems Support Engineer will monitor systems, conduct health checks, and provide first-level support for system incidents.
  • Monitoring the performance and availability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Conducting regular health checks and performance tuning of SQL databases.
  • Overseeing the functionality and performance of Windows servers and IIS.
  • Monitoring interface subsystems to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Providing first-level support for system incidents.
  • Maintaining documentation related to system configurations and incident responses.
  • Participating in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades.
  • Ensuring 24/7 uptime of critical systems.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1.5 - 2 years of experience in a systems monitoring and support role.
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases, Windows Server administration, and IIS management.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting common technical issues.
  • Experience with monitoring server uptime, server performance metrics, application performance and alert management.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting system issues, server troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Availability to work in a 24x7 environment, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
