Job Description
Creditas, a leading financial services platform in Latin America, is seeking a Data Engineering Staff member to join their Platform team in São Paulo. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and database systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and a strong understanding of cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and database systems.
  • Manage solutions and automate processes using tools like Spark, AirFlow, Redash, EMR, and Redshift.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies.
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize solutions on AWS.
  • Develop scalable data processing solutions and implement CI/CD processes.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) to streamline data operations and enhance data solution deployments.
  • Implement data solutions using technologies like Spark, Python, and various AWS services (S3, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Glue).
  • Mentor and train fellow engineers, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address gaps in team capabilities and processes to enhance efficiency and success.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years in a senior role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience building scalable data platforms and reliable data pipelines using technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, AWS SQS, AWS Kinesis, Kafka, etc.
  • Comfort with modern back-end systems, event-driven architecture, and the ability to articulate the pros/cons of different approaches.
  • Deep understanding of data processing and experience working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, ETL, and relational databases.
  • Comfortable working with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Availability for hybrid work: Onsite presence in Morumbi, São Paulo, for 4 consecutive days in the first week of each month.
