interface.ai, a leading AI provider for banks and credit unions, is seeking a Lead Conversational Designer. This role is based in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area. The Lead Conversational Designer will set the vision and strategy for conversational experiences across the client portfolio. They will direct a team of designers and collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams.interface.ai is looking for someone to raise the quality bar for every interaction across chat, voice, and emerging channels, while ensuring the work delivers measurable ROI and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities: - Establish and champion conversation design standards.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of conversational designers.
- Drive the end-to-end design process for client engagements.
- Translate business requirements into user-centric conversational experiences.
- Oversee conversation CMS and tooling strategy.
- Partner with Product Management to influence the roadmap.
- Serve as an executive-level design consultant for strategic accounts.
- Ensure all conversational solutions adhere to U.S. banking regulations.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Requirements: - 7+ years designing conversational experiences.
- 3+ years leading design teams in SaaS, FinTech, or regulated industries.
- Expertise in conversation design principles, UX writing, and information architecture.
- Mastery of NLU/NLP platforms and LLM prompt engineering.
- Success influencing executive stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of banking workflows and regulatory constraints.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
