Job Description
Interface.ai, a leading AI provider for financial institutions, is seeking a Senior Conversational Designer to lead the strategy, design, and optimization of conversational experiences. The Senior Conversational Designer will be responsible for creating user-friendly and effective AI interactions for banking and credit union clients.This role involves:
  • Leading the conversation design lifecycle, including user research, intent modeling, and prompt engineering.
  • Designing omni-channel experiences across chat, voice, web, and mobile platforms.
  • Managing the conversation CMS, configuring content, and coaching client teams.
  • Translating design decisions into business outcomes and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Leveraging analytics to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements.
  • Facilitating client workshops and user testing to validate hypotheses.
  • Ensuring compliance with U.S. banking regulations and brand guidelines.
  • Serving as a liaison between users, clients, and the product team.
  • Mentoring junior designers and promoting conversational AI best practices.
Requirements include:
  • 5+ years of experience designing conversational experiences in SaaS, FinTech, or regulated industries.
  • Mastery of conversation design principles, UX writing, and information architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise with NLU/NLP platforms and prompt engineering for LLMs.
  • Ability to interpret intent-confusion matrices and BI dashboards.
  • Proven success leading client-facing projects and running workshops.
  • Strong understanding of banking and payments workflows and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
