Job Description
Groupon is seeking a Global Head of Payroll to lead its Payroll team. This role is crucial for steering major projects aimed at enhancing Groupon's Payroll services and systems globally. The Global Head of Payroll will report directly to executive leadership and will coordinate with key stakeholders in Groupon’s global HR, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, and Treasury teams.
Role Involves:
- Providing strategic direction for the Payroll function.
- Overseeing the monthly Payroll process across multiple regions.
- Collaborating with regional HR, Legal, Finance, Corporate Tax, and Stock Services teams.
- Leading the implementation of new payroll providers in multiple countries.
- Driving and collaborating on high-impact projects related to payroll systems and processes.
- Ensuring payroll operations remain SOX compliant.
- Monitoring global payroll performance through KPIs and SLAs.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of the Payroll Process.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, MIS, business analytics, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent with 8+ years of related work experience.
- 6+ years of people management experience.
- Proven track record overseeing multi-country regional payroll and payroll tax.
- Proven experience leading the implementation or transition of global payroll providers across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project timelines, mitigate risks, and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Fluent English written and spoken.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, taking independent and decisive action.
