Lead Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Zafin is seeking a Lead Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of its SaaS platform. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining Zafin's cloud infrastructure and leading operational improvements.

This role involves advanced technical duties and leadership responsibilities, including mentoring team members and serving as a backup to the Cloud Operations Manager. The Lead Cloud Operations Engineer will collaborate across teams to champion best practices in release and environment management.

What this role involves:

• Leading the design, deployment, and maintenance of Zafin’s SaaS environment.
• Ensuring operational stability and performance of production and pre-production environments.
• Investigating and resolving complex environmental and operational issues.
• Designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with engineering, QA, security, and product teams.
• Serving as a subject matter expert on Zafin’s SaaS platform architecture.
• Participating in an on-call rotation for 24/7 availability.
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Acting as the Cloud Operations Manager when required.

Requirements:

• 6-12 years of experience in infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
• Experience with application security using Azure resources.
• Experience with IaC deployment (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Solid knowledge of Cloud computing.
• Solid Azure cloud hands-on experience.
• Solid understanding of SRE best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Linux Operating System and maintenance.
• Experience working with automated deployment pipelines, preferably on Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift.
