Senior Security Engineer, Identity, Security and Technology Foundations

Tide is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Identity team. This role is based in Serbia and focuses on championing Identity across Tide, from integrating new applications with Okta to creating Just-in-Time access rules for existing applications. The Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with business and technology teams to define and implement least-privilege, modern access controls and patterns, ensuring the Identity estate adheres to best practices. Tide is a business management platform designed to save small businesses time and money, with over 1 million small businesses using their services across the world.

The Identity team is responsible for Identity across Tide, managing Okta and provisioning modern access control patterns for newly deployed applications. The team uses strategies like zero trust, Just-in-Time access, and granular access controls to safeguard internal operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Championing Identity across Tide
• Collaborating with business and technology teams
• Ensuring our Identity estate adheres to best practices
• Automating manual, inefficient processes

Requirements:

• Strong expertise with modern Identity Providers such as Okta
• Deep understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML and OIDC
• Strong hands-on experience writing Terraform
• Experience in scripting and automation
• Passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge
• Hands-on attitude and the ability to drive solutions to completion
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
