Senior Engineering Manager

Job Description

Ethos is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineers in building and shipping key features. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and value clean, modular, and high-performing code. This role involves helping architect and build internal standards and frameworks, with a focus on engineering-wide consistency.

• Overseeing engineers to build and ship key features
• Playing the role of technical SME for the pod
• Collaborating with the product team to develop the tech roadmap
• Recruiting, hiring, growing, and retaining A+ engineering talent
• Contributing to the overall strategy and vision

Requirements:

• 4+ years of engineering management experience
• 6+ years of engineering experience as an individual contributor
• Experience designing and implementing complex backend systems
• Experience with software engineering best practices
• Full stack engineering experience in Javascript, Python/Django, or Ruby/Rails
