Job Description
eyeo is seeking a Group Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is crucial for providing expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting. The Group Senior Accountant will play a vital role in group and German accounting, fundamental business process flows and establishing and maintaining a comprehensive environment of controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting rules. This position offers business partnership with various internal and external teams, including regional accounting teams, consolidation and tax functions, and auditors.
Role Involves:
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
- Reviewing intercompany transactions and resolving out-of-balance issues.
- Assisting in preparing quarterly investor financial reporting packages.
- Managing the global chart of accounts and financial statements mapping.
- Liaising with auditors for annual financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Developing policies and processes for accurate accounting records.
- Leading compliance with local statutory reporting requirements.
- Providing support with special inquiries, projects, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Collaborating with Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, and other teams.
- Providing insightful business requirements to the ERP project team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or equivalent, Bilanzbuchhalter or Internationaler Bilanzbuchhalter
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge and experience with German GAAP and IFRS required.
- Business fluency in German and English.
- Hands-on experience with ERP required, NetSuite or Oracle preferred.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Experience in working with global teams in a technology company is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong disposition for problem-solving.
