Teads, an omnichannel outcomes platform for the open internet, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. The Technical Support Engineer will play a crucial role in providing exceptional technical support to Teads' global clients, ensuring the success of their products and services. This role involves collaborating with experts and working with both demand-side clients and potentially supporting supply-side operations.

What this role involves:

  • Providing advanced technical support to Japanese and global clients.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle complex technical and analytical challenges.
  • Working closely with account managers to offer technical support for globally known brands.
  • Conducting calls with clients to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Sharing insights and ideas that contribute to the improvement of products and services.
  • Troubleshooting and providing solutions to various technical issues escalated by the AdOps team.
  • Ensuring that issues reported through different communication platforms are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Using technical skills to ensure campaigns, pixels, and creatives are set up correctly.
  • Performing in-depth troubleshooting by pulling data from the database, analyzing it, and providing tailored solutions, insights, and data to marketers and publishers.
  • Providing real insights about client activity through deep analysis using multiple internal and external tools and platforms.
  • Resolving case tickets from the team's queue and diligently troubleshooting product issues before escalating to the appropriate group.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Japanese and strong English communication skills.
  • Expertise in a technical support or engineering position, ideally in the ad tech sector.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Web technologies knowledge: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Integration knowledge: Experience with REST APIs, HTTP protocol, JSON, and tools like Postman.
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in SQL and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • A passion for technology and a willingness to dive into complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenges with poise.
  • Familiarity with Spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and a willingness to learn more.
  • Proficiency with text editors such as VS Code, Sublime Text, Vim, or similar.
  • Strong scripting skills in Javascript, Python, or others for automating manual tasks.
  • Basic understanding of Git and command line commands.
