Research Manager

Job Description

YouGov is seeking a Research Manager to join its Advanced Solutions Team in Leuven, Belgium. In this role, the Research Manager will gain insights into consumer shopping behavior, identifying the drivers and barriers that influence purchasing decisions. This role involves working closely with consultants to provide insights to manufacturers and retailers on shopping behavior. The Research Manager will be responsible for the content of surveys, conducting well-structured research, and transforming client briefings into research briefings for the internal organization. They will also conduct desk research, create questionnaires, and compile client reports. The role requires regular contact with clients during the preparation phase, fieldwork, and final presentation.Role involves:

• Working closely with consultants to provide insights to manufacturers and retailers on shopping behavior
• Being responsible for the content of the surveys (project management)
• Performing well-structured research and work together with the Consultant to provide the best possible answer for the client
• Transforming client briefings into research briefings for the internal organization
• Conducting desk research, make questionnaires and compile client reports
• Having regular contact with clients in the preparing phase, during the fieldwork and at the final presentation

Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in an economic or psychological field
• 1+ years of experience in ad-hoc research
• Knowledge of statistics and affinity with ad hoc research techniques
• Knowledge of project management
• Basic experience in SPSS or R
• Passion for the FMCG/Food industry
• Dutch speaker (essential), and fluent in English and French
• Team player with a hands-on approach
