Job Description

Proton, a company focused on providing privacy-centric online tools, is seeking a People Operations & Payroll Partner to join their Barcelona team. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring a positive employee experience and efficient HR operations.

Role involves:

  • Managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end payroll process and collaborating with global payroll vendors.
  • Coordinating visa sponsorship and supporting international hires.
  • Administering employee benefits and collaborating with benefit providers.
  • Streamlining and automating people processes.
  • Collaborating with external HR providers and internal teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with Spanish labor laws.
  • Generating and analyzing HR metrics and reports.
  • Maintaining the HR knowledge base and HRIS.
  • Supporting cross-functional HR projects.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations and payroll, preferably in tech.
  • Experience supporting visa or work permit processes (a plus).
  • Comfortable with a multi-country scope of responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, IFs minimum, VBA a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
