Scalapay is seeking a Fraud Risk Data Analyst to join their Risk & Analytics team in Milan. The ideal candidate will help protect Scalapay and its customers from fraud by turning raw data into actionable insights, refining fraud-detection models, and partnering with product, engineering, and data-science teams to minimize fraud losses while maintaining a friction-free checkout experience.Role involves:
  • Owning fraud data pipelines & dashboards.
  • Conducting deep-dive analyses to uncover emerging fraud patterns.
  • Collaborating on model & rule optimization.
  • Designing real-time monitoring & alerting systems.
  • Integrating third-party fraud signals and internal data sources.
  • Providing stakeholder reporting with data-driven insights.
  • Offering investigation support for escalations and chargeback disputes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
  • Solid understanding of fraud-risk concepts in payments, fintech, or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in SQL for large-scale data extraction and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data wrangling and exploratory analysis.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate insights clearly in English.
