Job Description

PayPay Card is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to manage a data management engineering team. The company was established in 2021 to provide user-friendly fintech services, integrated with the PayPay payment platform, which has over 69 million users. PayPay Card aims to create a future beyond imagination, constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries of cashless payments and financial life platforms in Japan.

The Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for managing the engineering team that develops and operates the data infrastructure supporting PayPay Card's data analysis. They will collaborate with business and product teams to develop diverse functionalities, focusing on integrating with the group's economic sphere and the PayPay ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the engineering team's tasks, members, and KPIs.
• Developing data infrastructure roadmaps and specifications.
• Budget planning and management.
• Engineer recruitment.

Requirements:

• Team management experience.
• Experience in developing and operating data infrastructure on AWS.
• Python development experience.
• Experience with GitOps-based development.
• Leadership experience in leading and supporting the growth of strategic engineering talent.
• System development experience (backend or frontend) in a business company.
• Experience leading scalable architectures (microservices or event-driven).
• Negotiation and coordination skills with diverse stakeholders.
