Scientific Director

The company is seeking a Scientific Director to join their medical communications team. This role involves working on an established publications account focused on respiratory products for a major global pharmaceutical client. The Scientific Director will serve as the scientific lead for an existing team, utilizing their medical communications expertise to collaborate with colleagues and clients.

Role Involves:

• Leading the scientific direction of a publications team.
• Writing, developing, and reviewing healthcare/medical communications content.
• Supporting scientific publications, including data manuscripts, review articles, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Providing scientific and strategic input to pharmaceutical clients.
• Ensuring the scientific accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Line management, mentorship, and reviewing work of junior team members.

Requirements:

• Key therapy area knowledge, including respiratory disease.
• Experience in writing, developing, and reviewing related content within a Healthcare/Medical Communications setting.
• Medical communications expertise.
• Experience in patient-focused publications (advantage).
• Leadership skills and passion for communicating scientific content.
• Confidence in decision-making and commitment to quality.
