Job Description
Daybreak Health is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to provide collaborative supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) in Virginia. The role involves providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and feedback to PMHNPs, as well as utilizing EHR systems for documentation and care review. What this role involves:
- Providing collaborative supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) in accordance with Virginia regulations and Daybreak's clinical model.
- Conducting monthly 1:1 meetings with each assigned provider (typically via Zoom, ~2 hours/month total).
- Reviewing 5 charts/month per supervisee.
- Responding to clinical questions and prescription-related escalations during normal business hours.
- Executing the responsibilities outlined in your collaborating physician agreement, including tele-supervision, case reviews, and clinical documentation consultation.
- Providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and feedback to PMHNPs.
- Utilizing EHR systems effectively to document and review care.
Requirements:
- Virginia Medical License in Psychiatry (active & unrestricted)
- Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- DEA Certification
- At least 2 years of behavioral health experience, ideally working with youth
- Prior supervisory or collaborative practice experience preferred
- Strong EHR proficiency
- Demonstrated commitment to youth mental health access and equity
