Senior Revenue Accountant

Job Description

Vercel is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and will support the accounting close process and assist in projects that will streamline close procedures and automate the Order to Cash process, including the integration of the billing and revenue systems. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also help implement initiatives to strengthen financial operations as Vercel scales. Role involves:

• Preparing revenue related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Documenting close procedures for public readiness.
• Implementing and maintaining revenue recognition policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with ASC 606.
• Performing contract reviews in accordance with ASC 606 and prepare related revenue schedules (i.e. SSP Analysis).
• Performing analytical reviews to provide insights to internal stakeholders to help drive business decisions.
• Implementing improvements to automate and scale the Order to Cash process.
• Providing support during audits.
• Collaborating with other FP&A, Data, and other cross functional partners to analyze financial data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Previous experience working in SaaS or Consumption-Based companies.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Located in SF Bay Area.
