Axon is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join their Sky-Hero team in Brussels. This role involves working on the development of cutting-edge UAV and UVG reconnaissance products for law enforcement and tactical use. The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the innovation and rapid prototyping efforts within the New Ventures department, focusing on robotics.
Role Involves:
Participating in research and development of next-generation products.
Designing electronics systems and layout PCBs.
Testing and verifying prototypes.
Assisting firmware engineers in bringing up new boards.
Designing and implementing jigs for production testing.
Performing pre-compliance tests and managing EMC compliance testing.
Supporting manufacturing and following up on design changes.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
Passion for designing embedded electronics systems.
Excellent all-round electronics knowledge.
Proficiency in multi-layer PCB layout.
Awareness of EMC and signal integrity issues.
Knowledge of ECAD packages (Altium Designer or Cadence OrCAD preferred).
Comfortable using test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
Good hands-on skills for assembling board prototypes and rework.
