Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their New Ventures department in Brussels, Belgium, focusing on the development of cutting-edge UAV and UVG reconnaissance products. This role supports the Sky-Hero team and contributes to creating advanced indoor aerial and ground drones for law enforcement and military special operations. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative technology.

What This Role Involves:
  • Participating in research and development of next-generation products.
  • Designing electronics systems and layout PCBs.
  • Testing and verifying prototypes.
  • Assisting firmware engineers in bringing up new boards.
  • Designing and implementing jigs for production testing.
  • Performing pre-compliance tests and managing EMC compliance testing.
  • Supporting manufacturing and following up on design changes.

What Axon is Looking For:
  • Master’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for designing embedded electronics systems.
  • Excellent all-round electronics knowledge.
  • Proficiency in multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Awareness of EMC and signal integrity issues.
  • Knowledge of ECAD packages (Altium Designer or Cadence OrCAD preferred).
  • Comfortable using test equipment.
  • Good hands-on skills for assembling board prototypes.
  • Good C knowledge in an embedded context.
  • English proficiency (French and/or Dutch are a plus).
