Linux System Administrator

Job Description

Veeam, the #1 global market leader in data resilience, is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join their Corporate Technology department. This role is fully remote within Romania. The Corporate Technology department is the largest division responsible for Veeam's operational processes.

The Linux System Administrator will be responsible for managing Linux systems, designing and maintaining infrastructure, developing automation tools, monitoring system health, and handling user requests.

Role Involves:

• Managing Linux systems (production and development servers, both virtual and physical)
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure
• Developing and maintaining automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response
• Monitoring system health, identifying performance bottlenecks, and proactively resolving issues
• Implementing observability best practices using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools
• Handling user requests within your department’s area of competence
• Participating in patch management and vulnerability response project

Requirements:

• 3+ years of work experience
• Proficient knowledge of OC Linux (experience administering RHEL/Oracle Linux is welcome) and networking
• Professional experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible
• Professional experience with mail systems
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Zabbix etc.)
• English proficiency sufficient to communicate with international teams
