Software Engineer (Mumps, IRIS (Intersystem) Cache)

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their engineering team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software applications. He will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.

Role involves:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications and services.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Debugging and resolving software defects, performance issues, and bugs.
• Conducting code reviews.
• Providing development support for client reported issues.
• Continuously learning different technologies and improving technical skills.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Staying up to date with the latest industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., MUMPS, C++, JavaScript).
• Preferrable MUMPS/Cache technology or IRIS (Intersystem).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, MySQL etc.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
