Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is seeking an Operational Analyst to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for root cause analysis of operational issues, preparing reports, identifying cost-saving areas, and resolving system inefficiencies. This role requires collaboration with various levels within the business unit and providing training to end-users.

The role involves:

• Root cause analysis of operational issues.
• Preparing weekly and monthly operations reports.
• Identifying cost-saving areas and system inefficiencies.
• Working with all levels within the business unit to resolve issues.
• Preparing end-users to utilise the system by conducting training.
• Participating in data analysis to increase productivity and improve customer experience.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related field, and a minimum of 3 years of operational support experience in a software/technology environment is required.
• Good database knowledge, including the ability to write and optimise complex queries.
• SQL Scripting experience.
• Customer-centric approach.
• Proactive and energetic attitude.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
